10 Days, 130 Miles, 686,400 Feet....
.... because we want to.
Yes, it's a challenge. But we will accomplish it the same way people can solve any other problem.ONE step at a time.
WHY ? Because Right now in Hawaii, there are over 3,500 people living on the streets and beaches. about 35%, or 1,225, are children. We have to ask ourselves, is this really the best we can do in paradise ?
November is National Homeless Awareness Month. During our 10 day walk we will be travelling the island of Oahu and spreading the message to people that we believe Hawaii has the ability to actually solve our problem of homelessness. And, like many long journeys and monumental tasks that seem simply out of reach, we think Hawaii can accomplish it the same way... ONE step at a time.
This year, we invite you to take those steps with us. ONE Mile, ONE Hour, ONE Day. ONE step along the way for Hawaii to solve our problem. It's now time to do more than just talk about "Aloha." Come on !
It's time to "Walk the Talk," Hawaii.
